More reasons to paint!

I love it when nature gives me reason to stay home and paint! (as long as I have things to paint, that is)

Child Size Drop Leaf Table

My little table I bought. Ended up being a bit smaller then I thought. Ill figure out what to do with this baby.

Cedar Chest

I fell in love with this cedar chest as soon as I had seen it.

And I did what I normall do. Paint!!!
(yes I know I need to clean up my floor. Lots of paint stains. Thats why they invented Mr. Clean magic eraser---best invention ever!!!)

Old Table Legs

I got these babies on my last pick with Vicki. And she gave me this idea also.

With a little paint and imagination....

Now to figure out how I want to display them
Candle Holder?
Plant Stand?
Im getting close. Im thinking a Boston Fern might look good hanging over the sides on this one. Ill be scoping out the nurseries now!

Glass to Stone Vase

I was browsing the clearance asile at Hobby Lobby and came across this glass vase. It was marked down to $6.12. I knew I had something I could use with this so I snagged it up. I also knew that how something looks doesnt mean it has to stay that way.

I bought this can of American Accents Stone spray paint. This stuff is wonderful and comes in many colors! A little on the pricy side for my taste but worth it in the end. I have found that Wal Mart is the cheapest.

I used 2 coats on my glass vase and this is how it came out.

Then to add the foliage

Not too bad....

Simple pen/marker holder

I needed something to hold my pens, markers, scissors. But I didnt want to go out and buy anything for that. So I came up with this idea
Just clean up an empty container of sour cream, cottage cheese, etc.

I got out the handy dandy mod podge and some scrap fabric

And there you go! So simple! Next time I will use a dark fabric just so you cant see the letters on the container. But noone is really going to pay attention.
